Just Because There's A Goalie Doesn't Mean You Can't Score...
Just because there’s a goalie doesn’t mean you can’t score. Not going to lie when I first heard this I laughed a little, but as funny as this seems it’s not. I found this phrase come up a lot lately whether it was from my boyfriend or close guy friend, every time I heard these words my mouth still would gape open in shock. Oh and in case you were wondering, and you didn’t get the soccer reference, the woman is the goal. Correction sex with a women is the goal. No wonder men are so protective over their women with a mentality like that. Especially, when some men would go above and beyond just for sex even if the object of their desire is already taken. So how does one justify this to themselves you may wonder? Is their no remorse? When I asked my boyfriend he gave me his explanation from back in his “partier” years. “You’re doing him a favor if she cheats with you. Because then he knows what type of girl she is.” Some men that are the “other guy” place blame upon the women, the picker of the forbidden fruit. Goodness knows women must be the source of all evil. But saying “Yeah let me help yeah out bro and see if I can have sex with your girlfriend” isn’t bad at all. I’m not saying the women is not as fault for cheating because she is, but being the tempting snake that leads her there does not make him any better. Is this every man and women of himself mentality contributing to the rise in serial monogamy?
